- Issuance/ renewal of Route Permits to Loader and Public Service Vehicles (PSVs)
- Issuance/ renewal of Bus Stand Licence
- Act as Claims Tribunal (compensations in Public Service Vehicles (PSVs) Accidents)
- To regulate Transport affairs
- To regulate conduct of Driving Licence Test
- Earmarking of zones for establishment of Bus stands
- Act as summary trial court (Challans)
- Issuance/ renewal of Truck stand, Goods Forwarding Agencies & Body Building Workshop Licence.
- Act as Special Price Control Magistrate
- Any other duties assigned by the Provincial Govt. & District Administration
