FUNCTIONS OF CIVIL DEFENCE OFFICER, MULTAN
- Impart training to general public / industrial / commercial concerns, government department and educational institutions on:
- Basic civil defence
- First aid
- Rescue
- Fire fighting
- Bomb recognition, detection & disposal
- Organize warden service and enroll / train its volunteers for civil defence services.
- Hold fire co-ordinate exercises, civil defence demonstrations, conferences and seminars.
- Help local administration in peace and war emergency.
- Render first aid and evacuate casualties during emergencies if such resources are available.
- Carry out publicity for mass education in civil defence.
- Plan & coordinate civil defence schemes as per report of civil defence committee on defence planning.
- Assists government departments with available recourses in peace and war emergencies.
- Liaise with the armed forces for fortress and air defence on matters relating to civil defence.
- Specify, coordinate and enforce fire protection and civil defence measures in industrial & commercial concerns and in other premises considered essential.
